Funny

Got this from an email.  Can't help but share.

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked,  “My dear child, why are you crying?”  The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family .  The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with pearls. “Is this your thimble?” the Lord asked The seamstress replied, “No.” The Lord again dipped into the river. He held 0ut a silver thimble ringed with  sapphires.   “Is this your thimble?” the Lord asked.  Again, the seamstress replied, “No.” The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble. “Is this your thimble?” the Lord asked.   The seamstress replied, “Yes.”  The Lord was pleased with the woman’s honesty and gave her all three thimbles to  keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water.
When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, “Why are you crying?” > Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!”  The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney.
“Is this your husband?” the Lord asked.
Yes,” cried the seamstress.
The Lord was furious. “You lied! That is an untruth!”
The seamstress replied, “Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding.  You see, if I had said ‘no’ to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt. Then if I said ‘no’ to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said ‘yes,’ you would have given me all three. Lord, I’m not in
the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT’S why I  said ‘yes’ to George Clooney.   And so the Lord let her keep him.

The moral of this story is: Whenever a woman lies, it’s for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others.
That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it.

Women everywhere

Answered prayer

This is a post script to my December 1 post.

Happy to say that I got through the Lead Auditor's exam landing in 2nd place. Whooooopp!!

Now I have additional skill in my CV hehe..

And really, it helped me a lot.

Sometime in February, when I was released from the project because it is already on its final stage, and downsizing of manpower is inevitable, I was saved from termination by this certificate.  The QA in Area Office is resigning and the top boss has no one yet to replace her until I came along with my certificate! :)  Coincidence?  No, God is at work here, answering prayers.

And I am very grateful.

Welcome surprise :)

I received an email from another company's HR requesting for a job interview.  I never expected this and quite frankly, it got me excited.
First off, I am not familiar with job interviews.  I only had one (which was for my job right now) and it went for no more than 2-3 questions, which are job-related all, 10 minutes tops!
Part of the excitement was I didn't know what to expect.
I came to the interview half an hour early.  I was not trying to make an impression, it was just that I thought the interview will be at 3pm when it was scheduled at 3:30!!

Good that the interviewer (the QHSE Director) agreed to move up the schedule :) .
And it lasted for an hour!! I would say that it went well.  I hoped I gave him the right answers to job-related questions.  I hoped he found me suitable and right for the job.

Then I went to another interview with HR.  Same thing.

When I went in the first time, I was half-hearted about all of this.  Because I am enjoying my stint in the area office right now and my boss is very much ok.
But after the interview and seeing a brighter prospect for the future, I began to wish and hope that everything will turn out right.

I don't know if I will get the job, but right now, I am putting everything in the Lord's hands.  Only He knows what's best for me.

So I surrender everything.
